It's well worth seeing, with thick layers of peat, small bog pines, and numerous ponds interspersed throughout.
The bog is approximately 3,000 years old and formed from a lake left behind by the Ice Age.
Peat moss was extracted from the edges; work is now underway to restore these areas.
