Great place for cycling. Many different hiking trails. Some great views of the water. Very cool activity where there are mailboxes in some trees where other hikers left notes. It's a bit difficult to find your way around, especially the first time.

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The West River Shoreline Trail starts at the corner of Buckhorn Island State Park in the southwest at the Eagle Overlook and Kayak Launch. The trail terminates very close to the southwest corner of Beaver Island State Park. It is a paved hiking and biking trail with continuous views of the Niagara River.

West River Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Stunningly beautiful place. It is a hidden gem and is particularly noticeable in winter when the edges of the river are frozen while chunks of ice float away in the middle of the river. The snow was very clean and free of road salt and you can see Canada across the river which makes for some cool pictures. Very unassuming place and doesn't even have markings or boards making it difficult to spot. A great place to just sit and relax overlooking the river and the soft clean snow (if you visit in the winter).
