Fahrner Sculpture Park Wesenufer

Artist couple Annamarie and Günther Fahrner are creating a sculpture park made of scrap metal on their six-hectare property in Wesenufer.
ESSENTIAL BANK. After their studio in Tyrol became too small, the Fahrners went in search of a larger property. They found what they were looking for on the banks of the Danube in Wesenufer. There they acquired an old farm with 6 hectares of land in 2014. Over time, a sculpture park made of scrap metal was created on it. "We have been bringing old iron to new life for 25 years," says the artist couple. The sculptures, which are up to four meters tall and are exhibited in Wesenufer, are based on mythology and show gods, demigods, hybrid beings and monsters in both human and animal form.
"When you walk through our park, the sculptures should encourage your own interpretation and pass on something positive," say the Fahrners.
