The village of Saint-Jalle is fortified at the foot of its castle. Dominating the course of the Ennuye, the castle is the first visible element of the castral village coming from the west. In the center of the village, the chapel of the Penitents is a discreet building, identifiable by its bell tower. Built in the 17ᵉ century, it houses a mural depicting Christ on the cross, surrounded by kneeling penitents.
