The elevation is actually 1076m at the end of the paved road. A large parking area with restrooms, pure mountain drinking water fountains, and a restaurant are the last opportunities for food, electricity, and communication until hiking up to the huts near the summit. Note the mountain huts are closed from the last week of October to April, and the upper trails often covered in snow.

So close to Olympus and yet so far away! We started at the car park at the end of the road. From then on it was a steady climb⛰️🥵. Cold, wet, sunshine... we had it all. If you don't like walking steep paths, you should go back the same way... otherwise a great tour 😍
