Three Castles

Highlight • Castle

The castle is thought to have been built in the 16th estuary overlooking a ford on the River Liffey. Nowadays the river is too deep to cross due to the damming of the river. The walls of the castle are an incredible four to five feet thick, and faced with granite. A fine spot to have a quick break.
