Really cool gorge tour, where you don't really gorge, i.e. walk on the bottom of the gorge, but the path always goes up along the gorge wall far above the bottom.
The tour is moderate.
There is no climbing involved. The tour offers plenty of shade.
You should take enough water with you, as we couldn't find a bubbling spring …

Following a narrow hiking trail, we quickly reach a cave chapel. The gorge is impressive with its bizarre rock formations. We head back a short distance and then continue along the rocks. The path ends at a small chapel, and from there we walk back along a wide path. A wonderful trail.

A beautiful round with ascent through the Langadiotissa gorge. During the descent there are several great views of the ruined city of Mystras and the castle.
The detour to the cave church of Panagia Langadiotissa is also highly recommended.

From Mystras, we walked the E4 hiking trail to the rest area. Beautiful views from the trail, including ancient Mystras. We then descended through the gorge to Parorio. A very interesting trail, with a detour to the cave church.
