At this junction, the two routes on the Rote Wand can separate.
One over the creek towards Obersteinzger Alm goes more direct and steeper to the summit, albeit with a short descent in between (good shoes and surefootedness!). Attention, it is not necessary to go all the way down to the Obersteinzger Alm! An unmarked path goes across the slope (see another highlight).
