Start and finish is the parking lot in front of the currently closed cafe in the street "Zum Fischerhaus". Galenbeck is a small, quiet and very well-kept place.
The first 5km through the forest were difficult to walk. Due to the ongoing forest work and the persistent drought, the paths are heavily churned up.
