A lovely afternoon stroll from the picturesque village of Vers-Pont-du-Gard along the remains of the ancient aqueduct that led from Uzès to Nimes to the ever-impressive and pleasantly quiet Pont du Gard, after the lunchtime visitor buses had already left.
