Beautiful hike to do in good weather, there are 17 river crossings. It's muddy like everywhere in Basse Terre, and the route is relatively sporty but well signposted, you can't get lost.

A very beautiful hike crossing magnificent rivers, but for normal walkers, allow 4 hours rather than 2.5 hours with the mud and slippery roots. The end of the hike is on the crossing road, which is not very interesting and can be dangerous due to the lack of a sidewalk.
