A leisurely walk past many of Erfurt's old townhouses up into the Steigerwald forest. After a break at the large Waldhaus forest restaurant near Rhoda, the hike descended into the Gera Valley and back to the old town. From St. Mary's Cathedral and the Merchants' Bridge, we returned to our accommodation.
