Nice path "Steinerne Wand", exemplary protection with ropes, but sturdy shoes are recommended and you should also be sure-footed. On the stony path there is always a great view.

September 20, 2025,Mehrtageswanderung 2025: "Steinerne Wand – Eixendorfer Stausee" (20.09.2025, Langstrecke)
The long-distance hikers' Saturday tour ran clockwise, first over the Steinerne Wand (Stone Wall) to the Schwarzenburg ruins, then descending the Goldsteig (Schützsteig) trail to Bauhof and continuing to the Schwarzach waterfall. The northern riverbank path, a dreamlike path, then returned to the starting point – not without crossing the riverbank for a break in Hillstett (Salzfriedl Museum Tavern).

The first section runs along the Eixendorf reservoir on a beautiful shoreline path, then along forest paths up to the Stone Wall on the Schwarzwihrberg. The path there is very exposed but well-secured.

A tour with many beautiful sights. You have to be very fit because the steep inclines are tough! The description says alpine knowledge. You are right about that. In the stone wall there is a beautiful railing on the left and right, thanks to the people who installed it. But much of the sea route is along the slope, with …

Today, it worked out again with my former colleague Thomas for a hiking tour. 🥾🥾 Our hiking destination was the Schwarzenburg on the Schwarzwihrberg and the Eixendorfer reservoir.💦💦
It was very hot today, but our path was mostly in the forest 🌳 and so it was fine with 4 drinks.
Our start was through the Taubenwiesbachtal, initially mostly ascending to …

A good decision, because we walked all the way around the Eixendorf reservoir last time. Since there are still castle ruins hidden in the forest and the Steinerne Wand is a real highlight …

The Eixendorfer See is still drained, so you can see how the Schwarzach used to be! The first third of the tour goes along the lake.

First, we went down to the Schwarzach, whose course we followed for quite a while on a truly fantastically beautiful and shady forest trail. Later, we went up towards …
