The evangelical parish church of St. Petri was first mentioned in 1096. The current church was originally a single-nave dedicated to St. Michael consecrated vaulted building from the 13th century, which was later converted into a two-nave late Gothic hall church with a three-sided choir. After a fire in 1683 it was restored. The half-timbered east gable dates from this period. As part of a renovation that took place after 1902, the cross-gable roofs were created. During this time, the Romanesque west tower with the Gothic stepped gables received its new copper hood.

Inside the church there are remains of late Gothic vault paintings. The furnishings include a pulpit from the beginning of the 18th century and a baptismal font from 1772. A chandelier is marked 1681.
