Geissbergtobel Gorge (Schluchtenweg Sevelen)

Highlight (Segment) • Gorge

The mysterious atmosphere in the Geissbergtobel ravine or the magnificent
views of our unique mountain world.
The special climate in the Geissbergtobel, namely cool, humid air, little sunlight, and barren soils, leads to a strict selection among the potential inhabitants.

Kaiserilochsee

Highlight • Lake

A small reservoir in the forest that can be walked around (but partly swampy). Pretty nice for a reservoir, but not earth-shattering. The water is relatively turquoise.

October 8, 2022,08.10.22 Schluchtenweg Sevelen & Ansaspitz 🥰🥰🥰
That was a surprisingly great round 🥰🥰🥰👍.

The route leads along various forest paths along the Sevelen gorge path to Oberschaan, past the Kaiseriloch, further up to the Ansaspitz and again along the Sevelen gorge path.

The paths are not really difficult, but required a bit of sure-footedness here and there due to the wet ground... but within normal limits …

@Martina Thank you very much for your inspiration. Nice little hike with a great view from the Ansaspitz.

The conclusion first: a wonderful, great hike with a top 🤩 recommendation on my part.

Most of the tour follows the paths of the well-signposted and informative "Sevelen Canyon Trail":
tagblatt.ch/leben/wandertipps/auf-dem-seveler-schluchtenweg-ld.1224506
At the end of the tour I visited the thought-art installation "GedankenBerg" in Sevelen:
gedankenberg.ch
The signposted parking lot at the start is super suitable and free of charge.
