Beautiful but steep path over the Moselsteig via the Michaeliskirche to Thurant Castle. The ascent is rewarded with a beautiful view of the Moselle and Alken.

A small but nice "good morning" round at ☀️.
We went up through the vineyards 🍇 from Alken via the Moselsteig or dream paths to Thurant Castle 🏰 with a wonderful view, also from the "Weisses Kreuz" and past the Michaeliskirche ⛪️ and back again.

After a journey of around 340km, we went up to Thurant Castle this afternoon. Highly recommended. Beautiful castle with many interesting corners. The climb over narrow trails offers a wonderful view of the valley in some places. On the way back there was a shortcut down the vineyard. Not recommendable. Better along the street or on the way there.
