Mountain hidden behind a wall. Next to the Heurigen Sirbu.

Howdy, I visited this mountain as part of my dwarf mountain tour series: My goal is to climb every mountain in the Vienna Woods -> komoot.de/collection/2517195/-zwergbergtouren-im-wienerwald

View of Vienna from Nussberg

Highlight • Viewpoint

The Nussberg is a wonderful vantage point below the Kahlenberg. You can see large parts of Vienna, the Wienerwaldberge, Bisamberg, Donau. On a clear day, you can see the foothills of the Alps south of Vienna, the Leitha and Rosali Mountains, and to the north and east far into the Weinviertel and the Carpathians. A 360° panorama!

The restored second, upper Schwipp arch - also called "Bockkeller vault". The vault has existed since at least the end of the 17th century. The carved year 1735 testifies to a general renovation at this time. Before World War II there was a well on the corner. This spring house has now disappeared behind a door in the wall after the communal buildings at No. 2. A hand-turned crucifix that Mr. Böck from Nußdorf donated was also attached to the wall. This unfortunately got "lost" a few years ago.
