Polilimnio Waterfalls Parking

Highlight • Parking

If the restaurant is open it can be a great place to leave your bike & gear safely if you're doing the loop hike through the narrow gorge and come out on the upstream trail. Usually closed in winter, but that can be an advantage if you need a dry place to camp (the panorama terrace has a big roof) and charge your electric devices at the outlets behind the building.

Polylimnio Waterfalls

Highlight • Waterfall

Hike along the creek bed with small lakes and waterfalls is very nice. However, I would not classify the hike as easy, but as a via ferrata. You have to do a lot of climbing and the ropes hang pretty, give little grip. The stones / rocks are quite smooth by the many hikers, almost not walkable in wet weather.
Have already made some difficult tours in the Alps and think to be able to judge the difficulty of a hike.

At the highest level of the waterfall you can enjoy a swim. Some jump off the rocks into the water. From here you can walk even further up, but that is not recommended if you only have slippers on.

Highlight (Segment) • Climb

Great via ferrata on the circular route of the Polylimnio waterfalls. The biggest fall with the largest swimming pool can also be reached with easier, child-friendly climbing.

Polylimnio Waterfalls Jungle Trail

Highlight • Waterfall

The Polynimnio Waterfalls are nestled in a jungle-like forest. For all-terrain visitors, it is recommended to complete the entire circular route: the climbing is rewarded with further beautiful and somewhat more lonely natural scenery.

Great little climbing walk with swimming. To get to the waterfalls, you first go downhill on a good path, then follow a path past various small falls and pools. The highest fall goes over a 10 meter high step into a deep pool where you can swim easily. However, the water is quite refreshing. You can also jump into the …

Definitely do the tour clockwise. There are wet and steep sections in the water. I would only attempt the tour with hiking boots.

Very short, very beautiful and very challenging hike!

Showing Translation

We use the early afternoon for a spectacular hike along a river. There are waterfalls, turquoise swimming lakes, climbing rock faces, shimmying on ropes, jumping through the river from rock to rock, steep climbs, and, of course, wet feet. After the last swimming lake, we return along a sandy path in about 34-degree heat. I've rarely experienced such a beautiful, …
