In the middle of the swamp, a pretty bridge and a long, wide deluxe wooden walkway keep your feet dry

The area next to the trail is mostly boggy. So staying on the trail is highly recommended. The wooden footbridge bridges the moor and there are more "moor puddles" at the top of the lakes.

The ascent and descent each take a good 2 hours. You should definitely have sturdy shoes and rainwear with you. There is WiFi at the parking lot ;-) and you can buy food and find a toilet.

A very nice and not so strenuous tour to Preikestolen. It was already busy at 8 o'clock in the morning, you have to wait from time to time to continue, but it still went quickly. Please don't underestimate the path around the lake, there are definitely more interesting hiking trails, but the path is uneven and very often muddy.

The path is well developed and well signposted (with a red “T” 🥰😉) and with its many (sometimes quite high) steps and stone slabs, it is a bit more challenging to walk on individual sections!
After a first steep climb, we go through the forest and over beautifully laid out wooden footbridges and small bridges into the plateau (which was …

From Stavanger by bus 🚌 to the base camp and then we went up to the Preikestolen, some of which were well developed. Enjoyed a magnificent view. Then back the same way.

Off to what is arguably the most famous of all Norwegian cliffs. To avoid the crowds and potentially be alone on the platform, the alarm went off at 5:50 a.m. today. After a 20-minute drive to the parking lot at the starting point, we set off promptly at 7:00 a.m. We weren't alone on the climb, but it was nothing …

... the weather wasn't great, but it didn't rain (!). Let's go. 😊

At around 10 a.m. we set off from the paid parking lot at a fresh 10°C; the obolus is used for the maintenance of the paths etc. The first 10 minutes it went dynamically upwards. Then there were steps. From time to time the path was even …

Very nice walk, certainly a little steep (19% cold over the first few hundred meters) but the effort is much more than rewarded. A real wonder once at the top

Today's tour took me to Preikestolen, the rocky ledge. Even the path there was very impressive. Rocky steps and cliffs served as a path. A long footbridge led across the marsh. Fortunately, the weather improved the further we climbed. From Preikestolen, you have a fantastic, breathtaking view. I highly recommend anyone who comes near Stavanger to visit this rocky ledge. …
