Today circular hike to 2 Casteddus. Capula was built over in the Middle Ages. As befits a castle, a church was built below. Unfortunately too. The circular route is lined with cyclamen and stone bombs, some of which are as high as a house. A special exhibition on the way back to Corsican castles made my heart beat faster. We …

The first settlers of Corsica lived here and laid each stone on top of the other... now a fairytale forest with lots of moss, ruscus and two 150-year-old pines... it's a bit scrambling in between... but very worthwhile.
