Beautiful tour along Lake Görigker, through the forest, uneven forest path due to forestry work, Steinitz observation tower with 101 concrete steps. Nice view of the opencast mine at the top. In the Steinzer Hof at the parking lot there are delicious cakes/pastries and coffee (friendly woman) and a playground for children.

Steinitz and the surrounding region are perfect for beautiful hikes! You are in the middle of nature and can hike through the post-mining landscape in complete peace. We had to shorten our hike significantly due to the approaching thunderstorm. We will definitely come back for a longer hike.
