Trabocco Spezzacatene (literally: Chain Breaker) is an absolute must-stop during your bike tour along the Via Verde!
This historic construction owes its rugged name to the brutal storms and gigantic waves that have been defying the wooden poles here for decades.
Located in the municipality of Fossacesia, right next to Trabocco Punta Torre, this is one of the most authentic and photogenic trabocchi on the entire coastline. Unlike the large restaurants nearby, Spezzacatene is truly dedicated to culture, fishing heritage, and the legendary Verì family of builders.
