Hiking

This is where the third Weser bridge stands today between Beverungen in Westphalia and Lauenförde in Lower Saxony. The first bridge was opened in 1902 and replaced the centuries-old ferry connection between Beverungen and Lauenförde. In 1945 this bridge was destroyed by the Wehrmacht. The second Weser bridge was opened in 1950 and demolished in 2019 due to dilapidation. Today's third bridge was opened in 2020.
