Went here with Paulo (tour guide) ; can not find the name of the peak, but I think it is called Mount Comino. It was a fantastic ride, great views and descent. just watch out for the goats !!

Short but very panoramic tour, you can admire the whole 180-degree panorama around Siniscola.

Capo Comino and Cammino di Santu Jacu Loop

    740m

Embark on the Capo Comino and Cammino di Santu Jacu Loop for a moderate mountain biking adventure that blends coastal beauty with inland charm. This route spans 28.6 miles (46.1 km) and involves 2426 feet (739 metres) of elevation gain, typically requiring about 4 hours and 13 minutes to complete. You will cycle past the iconic Capo Comino Lighthouse, enjoying views of white sand dunes and clear turquoise waters along the coast. Further inland, the trail leads you through landscapes dotted with Mediterranean scrub and ancient cork trees, offering a distinct contrast to the seaside. You will also pass through traditional villages, experiencing the diverse terrain and atmosphere of Sardinia.

For the most enjoyable ride, plan your visit during spring or autumn, as these seasons offer the best conditions for mountain biking in Sardinia. While the climate generally permits riding almost year-round, avoiding the peak summer heat can enhance your experience. Remember to respect the natural environment, particularly the protected dunes in the Capo Comino area; please avoid cycling over them to help preserve these delicate ecosystems. This loop is a curated route designed to showcase the best of both regions, rather than an officially marked combined trail.

This trail offers a unique opportunity to explore both the stunning coastal features of Capo Comino and the rich, historical landscapes of the Cammino di Santu Jacu. The route provides a deep dive into Sardinia's natural and cultural heritage, moving from the vibrant coastline to areas rich with ancient cork trees and traditional village life. It stands out in the region for its comprehensive blend of diverse scenery and cultural insights, making it a notable choice for those seeking a varied mountain biking experience.
