Bay of Fresnaye - Mare Beach: On September 16, 1950, the meteorological frigate "Laplace" hit a mine in Fresnaye Bay, killing 51 sailors. A monument commemorating the victims was erected in 1952. At a height of 8 meters, it represents the bow of a ship, from which a pyramid is symbolized, symbolizing the life devastated by a catastrophe.
