The areas of the NSG are completely owned by the Verden district. Numerous restoration measures have been carried out in recent years. Dykes have been removed, bodies of water designed in a natural way, groundwater levels raised and grassland areas extensively. Very wet areas should remain unused in the future and develop into reed beds and riparian areas
