Hiking

The church is a landmark of the town of Breitenbrunn. You can walk a circular path around the church. Below the church there is a spring with fresh drinking water. There is also a stone bench in the small chapel. It is very refreshing in it on hot days.

The church was built in 1386 and consecrated in 1401. It is located in the countryside on a rock and is a landmark of the town of Breitenbrunn. It has an octagonal central building and two towers with onion domes.
During the Second World War, the tower of the church was hit three times by tank shells and riddled with holes, each additional hit would have caused the church to collapse. After the war it was rebuilt in 1946.
The church has a baroque high altar and elaborately designed side altars.

The pilgrimage church of St. Sebastian sits picturesquely atop a rock overlooking Breitenbrunn, radiating a special tranquility and grandeur. Its octagonal central structure with its distinctive onion domes makes it not only an architectural gem but also a unique landmark of the town.

Upon entering, one immediately senses the spiritual depth that this place has exuded for centuries. The Baroque high altar and the artfully designed side altars invite contemplation and reflection – a place where history, faith, and art come together in harmonious unity.
