The church tower belonged - as usual - to the town of Kibo, because it served as a warning and defense tower. Its bells rang in the event of any danger such as fire, impending attacks, etc.
The medieval cemetery was also around the church building.
1556: Due to the Reformation, the church building was renamed "Lutheran Church" and St. Peter's Church
