St. Bartholomä, with its unusual church and short and medium-length hiking trails on the peninsula, is the main attraction for most visitors to Königsee. When the weather is nice for excursions, there can be a long queue at the pier in the late afternoon in the high season from the jetty to the inn before the return trip.
