Here, just to the west of William Hawrelak Park's largest parking lot, there are nice views of Hawrelak Park Pond. In summer, the walking trails are warm, and the expensive lawns are great for picnics, running around, playing sports or lounging. In winter, it's a very different scene as William Hawrelak Park is the proud home of Edmonton’s famous Ice Castles attraction, built by hand out of thousands of icicles that are lit up with lights at night.
