'De Boezemriend', which is a beautiful name for a windmill, is the only eight-sided polder mill in the province of Drenthe. The mill (from 1871) is still working and is served by volunteers.

Take a close look at the pictures to see if you can climb the steps with your bikes (very steep). We couldn't do it with our recumbent bikes because there is only a narrow channel next to the stairs to push the bikes up...🥴
