Beattie Pinery Provincial Park protects one of the most mature, least disturbed stands of white pine, red pine, and sugar maple forest remaining in Ontario south of the Canadian Shield. Designated as a nature reserve, the park preserves rare old-growth forest, diverse plant life, and important habitat for birds such as the scarlet tanager and pileated woodpecker. Quiet walking trails offer the chance to experience this remarkable forest up close.
