A sandy, 3-mile (5-km) stretch of beach, Passage East Strand is a lovely place to relax or enjoy a stroll. Situated on Waterford Harbour, the estuary of the rivers Barrow and Suir, it's a fine place to watch large vessels being guided through the waters by the Suir River Pilot Service.
