The Monument to the Rural Postmen (Icelandic: Minnismerki um póstmenn) in Staðarskáli commemorates the historic postal routes of Iceland. It stands directly next to the N1 petrol station in Staðarskáli on the Húnaflói fjord and was unveiled on May 13, 1993, by sculptor Grímur Márínó Steindórsson.
The location (the historic site Staður) was for a long time the largest rural postal center in Iceland. On the 15th of each month, up to six postmen from different regions (including the North, South, Westfjords, and Strandir) met here.
