Zagoria (Zagorë) is definitely a wild, isolated and still little-explored region, hidden deep in the mountains of southern Albania. If you like places where there is no phone signal, asphalt can suddenly disappear, and instead of tourists you meet shepherds with flocks of sheep – this is the place for you. This is one of those areas where nature and traditional stone villages have survived in an almost unchanged state.
