The monument at Andersa Street in Gliwice is an obelisk commemorating the victims of German Nazism imprisoned in Gleiwitz IV, one of the four Gliwice branches of the KL Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
It commemorates thousands of prisoners forced into slave labor, who died in the camp or during the brutal evacuation, the so-called Death March, in January 1945.
