The Alberni Valley Trail Network is a large system of multi-use trails in and around Port Alberni, connecting forests, parks, rivers, and neighbourhoods through a variety of routes for walking, hiking, trail running, and mountain biking. The network ranges from easy riverside and urban paths to forested singletrack trails on the surrounding hillsides, with trails that pass creeks, wetlands, and viewpoints, and run through dense coastal forest. Spread across several trail areas and maintained by local organizations and volunteers, it offers a wide variety of ways to explore the Alberni Valley's diverse landscapes.
