The water of Pancake Falls flows over low steps for several hundred meters downstream – north of Pancake Bay Provincial Park. The falls are not particularly spectacular; however, the Pancake River, nestled in dense forests, creates an idyllic atmosphere.
The falls are located on the Pancake Falls Trail, a circular route. Access from the west – via the Edmund Fitzgerald Lookout, as well as from the south – directly from Highway 17, is via forest paths and new, partially unpaved forest roads.
