The parkette was built in 1994 by the City of Toronto and was largely funded by the local Greek community, making it a true symbol of community pride. As you look around, you will notice a large, impressive bronze bust of Alexander the Great, which honors the deep Greek heritage of the local community. The square is designed with beautiful stone paving, comfortable benches, and a peaceful water fountain that provides a relaxing background sound.
