The Botanical Garden in Batumi – a garden of approximately 110 hectares with a multitude of subtropical and exotic plants, spreads across the slopes of the cape "The Green Cape" extending directly from the shores of the Black Sea. It is located 9 km north of Batumi. It was founded by the Russian botanist A. N. Krasnov in the 1880s, and was officially opened to the public in 1912.
