The easternmost stretch of the North Coast Trail is characterized by mud, roots, and hills. While the distance isn't intimidating, the harsh, wet conditions definitely are. Be sure to use gaiters and hiking poles through here, as everything is either sticky or slippery, and sometimes even both at the same time.
