The Lousoi Basin (also called the Soudena Plateau) in the north of the Peloponnese. In this fertile region, surrounded by mountain ranges, lies the picturesque mountain village of Ano Lousoi at an altitude of about 1,100 m.

The area is home to the ruins of the ancient Arcadian city of Lousoi, which was particularly known for its important sanctuary of Artemis Hemera.

It is a karst polje, a high plain that is drained underground through sinkholes (Katavothres).

The basin lies at the foot of the Chelmos Mountains, about 15 km south of Kalavryta.
