Hiking
In the western part of the "Hügelgräberfeld" (burial mound field) nature reserve, narrow valleys were created by erosion and washout. In one such hollow, two ponds were created in the past. Their banks are lined with old beeches, pedunculate oaks, and alders, between which a sparse shrubbery of alder buckthorn and elder grows. The ponds are partly overgrown with yellow loosestrife in the bank zone. Pondweed dominates in the open water. In part, these ponds are fed by smaller springs that emerge on the slopes.
