Gravel riding
Restored by the Park Authority, the Volterraio Fortress, one of the most beloved historical sites by the people of Elba, is now open to visitors again. Thanks to its strategic and panoramic position, the Volterraio is the most evocative and magical site on the island, especially if reached at sunset. The fortress stands out from its 395 meters above sea level, embedded in the rock from which it emerges as if by magic. The site was chosen by the Etruscans to build the first lookout post.
