The Kranhaus in Wittenberge is a historic building on the Elbe that originally served as part of the port facilities. It was built in the first half of the 20th century and served for a long time as a storage and transshipment point for goods transported across the Elbe. With the industrial development of Wittenberge, the building played an important role in the city's economy. However, after the decline of the port, the Kranhaus lost its original function and stood empty for some time.

Unfortunately, the restaurant in the Kranhaus no longer exists. The crane house was sold and is now used as accommodation and conference location for IT project teams.
The pretty brick house is still a great photo opportunity, especially when the sun goes down in the background.
