Known for the quality and abundance of its waters, men and women came to wash and load jugs to distribute through the town, sometimes up to 40 jugs per "bolea". Located on one of the busiest sidewalks in the region, the area was a fairly crowded cattle rest until the end of the 19th century, especially during the days of the April fair.
