Gravel riding
The footbridges were opened to the public in August 2007 and inaugurated in June 2008 by the prefect. They have become one of the most visited sites in the region.
At the time, the Himalayan footbridges also had another role to play, that of connecting one bank to the other in order to facilitate passage between the territories, the Trièves (left bank) and the Matheysine (right bank).
