In honor of the Guelphs: the prince monument in Langenrehm, in the municipality of Rosengarten, commemorates the three Guelph princes of the electoral-royal family who ruled Braunschweig-Lüneburg from 1235 and the Hanover region between 1705 and 1866.

The 8-meter-high Prince's Monument made of granite was erected in 1911 in honor of the last Welf king George V. (King of Hanover). It additionally commemorates Ernst August – Duke of Cumberland and Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg and Ernst August – Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg.

For me, an absolute hiking highlight in the area. As if from a Stargate film, this large pyramid looks very unreal in the landscape, plus there is an interesting German story on top. Including benches for resting and a wastebasket for resting. Great.
