The upper Valsesia valley above the Rifugio Pastore is incredibly beautiful: a pristine high valley with ancient larch forests, cascading rivers, and overlooked by the Monte Rosa massif with its hanging glaciers. Again and again, your gaze is drawn to this Himalayan-like panorama between Pyramide Vincent and Signalkuppe, which towers a full 3000 meters above the valley. If you stay overnight at the lovely Rifugio Pastore, you can enjoy all of this in peace and quiet in the evening and morning.
