The clock tower on the Grazer Schlossberg is one of the oldest structures of the former fortress. It houses the famous „Liesl“, the largest historical bell in Graz. The bell was cast in 1588 and weighs about five tons. It previously served, among other things, as a fire bell and rang on special occasions. Today, the clock tower and the „Liesl“ are popular sights and a reminder of the history of the Graz fortress.
